Guess What I got for Christmas?

Engaged!!! I am engaged. My babe asked me to marry him on Christmas morning before I left to go to my parent's house. It was the sweetest thing and I cried the whole way through it but I am so happy and so excited to be engaged to a man who loves me and appreciates me for the amazing woman that I am. (can you say that about yourself?)
The ring, of course everyone is wondering, was given to him by his grandmother whom he got to know very well when he was younger. It is beautiful and I am so honored to be the second person to wear it.
The date has not been set yet. We have, however, decided on a time frame which is Spring of 2009. I don't want to get married in the cold and this spring is too soon to plan for, especially since Ash is right in the middle of the busiest time of his year. So it looks like Spring of 2009 is the best time for the two of us.
I am so happy, so in love, and so excited! I feel like I have my head in the clouds and I can't think about anything but the ring on my finger and my husband-to-be.
Happy Holidays everyone, I know I will have one!

Christmas is Coming with a German Twist

I am excited for Christmas this year. Each year Christmas comes with a little different twist. This year, my friend Jasmin is coming from Germany for a week long visit. She will bet arriving on Christmas night after all the presents are opened and toys are played with. Then, I will have a whole week to spend with her!!!
While she was here before we went exploring the depths of Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, and Bryce Canyon Ntl. Park. This year, we will ski, snowshoe, party on New Years, and there is even a chance of exploring a new park this year, Zion Ntl. Park.
Well, you will all get to meet her when she gets here and you will know why I was so excited to see her again!

The Honeymoon is Over

I am on the bus(a rather bumpy ride) on my way home from my first day back gto school. Because of the generosity of my teachers and them cancelling class last week I was able to have basically a whole week off. Now that I am back to school I am reminded that the world didn't stop spinning just because I did. Instead all I think of is my finals that I am only two weeks away from and I am reminded that the honeymoon is over.

A Free Website Just for Me?!

The other day I was reading the Women's Health Magazine while waiting in the doctors office to get my non-cancer checked out. Well, I noticed this very small article about how to create your own website. I have been trying to figure out how to get my card business going without busting my bank (I have a great boutique to do that for me). Then it revealed itself to me. Freewebs. I am now in the process of creating the new greatest website for your customizeable giftcards for every occasion. www.cardsbybelle.com Don't go there yet because I haven't published any of my work yet. But just so you can all prepare. It's coming....

I Dodge Cancer Again

I have a big nodule in the corner of my eye near my tear duct and it has been growing so fast that I decided that it is finally time to go to the doctor. Today my doctor, named after a tent brand, Kelty, told me, "It looks like you have some kind of fibrous growth there. I can make a small incision and just pop it out, like a zit, but we won't really know what it is until I get in there." So... apparently I have a fibrous growth and once again, my lump is not cancer. Thank goodness.

Imagine: You Making a Difference

There are few times that I hear a song and it stops me dead in my tracks. Today it happened. I was in my car this morning and I heard the song "Imagine" by Jack Johnson. It made me stop what I was doing and pull off the side of the road. Imagine the world if we all tried to make a change. Imagine our clean earth if we all road our bikes once a week. Imagine our communities united together for one cause, good. The reason why I thought about all this relates to the recent incidents in the news about Brittney Spears! Can you believe all that has happened? Then I hear this song by another singer, Jack Johnson about changing the world and creating peace. What a difference each of us can make if we just reach our potential for good.

Is This Thing On?

Calling all friends, family, and future. Welcome to my new blog where I will keep myself caught up on my life. I was introduced to this site by my greatest friend, Melissa Stratton, and I felt like this would be a great way to keep my friends and family informed of the little things that happen in daily life. Enjoy!
